Have you ever considered sharing some of you're advanced tekkit skills. I'm really interested in the pack and just looking through some of the things you've done with it its really impressive. It'd be cool to find out how you made all that stuff.
Please see response to the same question by Synesthesia707 below. Have already taught dozens of people in the past, but sharing of the more advanced skills are reserved for those who already mastered the basic ones.
TC's a great modpack and is of course the best one IMO, give it a try if you're interested!
I've largely stopped teaching people TC, but if you're skillful enough at TC factories that you can build a compact, redstone dust powered solar panel factory producing exactly 2.5 solars/s and is 240 blocks or smaller in cubic volume, I'll accept you as a student. Please see the Solar Panel Factory Engineering Challenge section under my profile at http://tekkitclassic.wikia.com/wiki/User:Patric20878 for all other requirements to the design, with the exception that EMC generation, EU supply, and timer(s) for redstone signal do count towards the design for this test. Please discuss any questions in Discord.
Hello, I understand your solar panel factory is a private design, but considering this mod pack is very old maybe you'd be willing to share some of the tricks you used in it's creation. After reading a post about your solar panel factory where you responded to a user claiming they wouldn't be able to recreate it. I've spent many hours trying to recreate it myself as a challenge. I've come to the conclusion that you're using some mechanics I'm unaware of as I havent been able to come even close to the effficiency you claim possible. Please contact me if you get a chance. The tips I'm willing to share have been shared with people who asked. The rest, I'd rather have people figure for themselves. v2 and higher versions of my solar panel factory indeed use advanced and/or obscure techniques that few would know. How willing I am to teach people my engineering techniques is dependent on how good they already are in engineering.
I read your post about unfinished pages or pages with mistakes. I have quite a knowledgebase of Tekkit and would love to give a helping hand! Also, I can make custom video tutorials for any pages which lack a thorough walkthrough.
I play a lot of Tekkit, therefore I can add to short or unfinished pages. Also, I will correct grammar and spelling mistakes on the pages I visit and I can also create custom video tutorials for pages that need an in-depth walkthrough.
Almost every page that I haven't personally maintained needs to be thoroughly checked for accuracy by an expert Tekkit Classic player, whom I certify. Skilled, but non-expert players may also fix any errors they spot. I have spotted some form of error in almost all pages I've checked, some of which I correct, so you can assume this would be a *lot* of pages that need to be fixed.
There's no such thing as "Solar Panel MK1" in Tekkit Classic. If you want the solar panel that connects to the IC2 cables you said, it's the cube looking one, not the flat blue one (which is from RP2).
Hey man. I don't know if you remember me but I played with you on a local server back in the day. Do you stil play on any servers, whether they be publi or private? I've been exploring some new finds, and if you want to test them I'd be glad for the expertise. So if you want to play around, msg me (My discord is Mackwell#7862)
I've recently had a look at your creations on your imgur gallery and was really impressed. I would love to know more about the solar panel factory such as the EE source and waht each table crafts and which chest generates what.
The EMC, EU, and redstone signal sources are all separate from the factory, as part of good modular design. The energy link in the factory is an exception though, as its original power source is from EMC, rather than EU, as you can see with the generator powering it. Since energy linked wood pipes have far lower EU consumption than overclocked IC2 processing machines, it was much more appropriate to power it via inline generator than a dedicated EU cable.
The rest I won't share, as the factory is my private design after all. But if you're exceptional in TC engineering already, you can tell just by eye several of the techniques I use (though it still won't be anywhere near enough to rebuild the factory regardless).
there is a glitch to repair any vanilla item by putting it into a transmutation table and taking it out as if it was fully repaired. but, there is no way to duplicate or condense a broken item in tekkit classic.
I can't be waiting for you for 2 hours like this. You're going to have to get Skype or Discord if we're to speak in a timely fashion at all. I'll be asleep; let me know your contact info when you can. Thanks.
Hi, Patric! This is Super_Chuck from Tekkro, and I have redesigned and extensively tested my cannon design for you. I had done 20 separate trials and with an average shot distance of 160 Meters and with a rare 1 block+/- right/left aim shift. I have the notes, data, screenshots, and world save on a google drive folder: https://goo.gl/0tsYP1
