Wool is a block that part of vanilla Minecraft for decorative uses and crafting. Tekkit introduced a wide variety of new uses for this block. Multiple wool Dyes can be crafted and found throughout the Minecraft world. Wool is found by killing or shearing sheep, it can also be crafted with String.

- Wool has 16 different color variations in Minecraft, many of which are found naturally.
- The wool color in the recipes for the alchemy bag and the ender chest both change the color of wool found in that item. (Blue wool makes blue bag, etc).
- Although Tekkit doesn't introduce new colours, it does add new ways to get dyes. See Indigo Flower .
