Cobblestone is one of the most common blocks in Vanilla, dropped after Stone is mined with any pickaxe. Cobblestone can be smelted back into Stone in a Furnace with a 1:1 ratio. Common uses for Cobblestone include producing Scrap in a Recycler or using the EMC value of 1 to make less expensive items in the Energy Condenser. It is more EMC efficient to use Cobblestone Slabs in an Energy Condenser than Cobblestone itself, because 3 cobblestone is needed to make 6 slabs. The slabs also equal 1 EMC, doubling the EMC output.
Cobblestone can be used to make Cobblestone Transport Pipes, which can transport items from chests and other storage items when connected to a wooden transport pipe. These pipes do not connect to Stone Pipes, making them very handy in complex layouts. They can also be waterproofed, which uses the same principle, but with tanks, pumps, etc.
