Quantum Armor

Quantum Armor is the most effective Armour in IndustrialCraft 2 (see Armor Comparison). Its durability is only surpassed in Tekkit by Dark Matter, Red Matter, and Gem armours. It uses EU charge to absorb 100% of damage taken, protecting the player from everything until it runs out of charge (falling from extremely high y-values can prove fatal; tested with fully charged armor at 1600 y-value). However, a Nano Saber, or its much more powerful Alchemical counterparts, can drain charge much faster than weaker weapons, similar to the Nano Armor. Each piece must be charged with EU in an MFSU, HV Solar Array, or Charging Bench MK. 3. Unlike Dark Matter Armor, Quantum Armor will protect you from Tesla Coil. Despite the fact that it protects from all damage, many of Tekkit's more experienced players choose to use Gem armour instead, as Gem armour has unlimited durability and more powerful bonuses granted. That, and the fact that once quantum is drained of charge by a powerful weapon, it becomes just dead weight.

Effects

A full suit gives the following effects:

Helmet

• Waterbreathing
• Poison Curing
• Hunger Replenishment

Body armour

• Invulnerability

Leggings

• 3.4x faster sprinting(even faster on ice)

Boots

• Fall Damage Resistance
• Jump boost when holding Left-CTRL (if running during this procedure a forward speed boost is included)

Requirements

Note: Quantum armour is recommended to be made later in the game.

To craft the Quantum Helmet you need:

- 1 Nano Helmet (1 Energy Crystal, 4 Carbon Plates, 1 Glass)

- 2 Iridium Plates (8 Iridium, 8 Advanced Alloy Plates, 2 Diamonds) (56 UU-Matter for 8 Iridium)

- 2 Advanced Circuits (8 Redstone, 4 Lapis Lazuli, 4 Glowstone, 2 Electronic circuits)
- 1 Reinforced Glass (7 Glass, 2 Advanced Alloy Plates)
- 1 Lapotron Crystal (2 Electronic circuits, 1 Energy Crystal, 6 Lapis Lazuli)

To craft the Quantum Body Armor you need:
- 1 Nano Body Armor (1 Energy Crystal, 7 Carbon Plates)
- 4 Iridium Plates (16 Iridium, 16 Advanced Alloy Plates, 4 Diamonds) (112 UU-Matter for 16 Iridium)
- 3 Advanced Alloys (3 Mixed Metal Ingots)
- 1 Lapotron Crystal (2 Electronic circuits, 1 Energy Crystal, 6 Lapis Lazuli)

To craft the Quantum Leggings you need:
- 1 Nano Leggings (1 Energy Crystal, 6 Carbon Plates)
- 2 Iridium Plates (8 Iridium, 8 Advanced Alloy Plates, 2 Diamonds) (56 UU-Matter for 8 Iridium)
- 2 Machine Blocks (16 Refined Iron)
- 2 Glowstone Dust
- 1 Lapotron Crystal (2 Electronic circuits, 1 Energy Crystal, 6 Lapis Lazuli)

To craft the Quantum Boots you need:
- 1 Nano Boots (1 Energy Crystal, 4 Carbon Plates)
- 2 Iridium Plates (8 Iridium, 8 Advanced Alloy Plates, 2 Diamonds) (56 UU-Matter for 8 Iridium)
- 2 Rubber Boots (12 Rubber, 2 Wool)
- 1 Lapotron Crystal (2 Electronic circuits, 1 Energy Crystal, 6 Lapis Lazuli)

Total to craft full Quantum Armor:

- 1 Nano Set (4 Energy Crystals, 1 Glass, 21 Carbon Plates)
- 10 Iridium Plates (280 UU-Matter all in all) (40 Iridium, 10 Diamonds, 40 Advanced Alloy Plates)
- 3 additional Advanced Alloys ( 3 Mixed Metal Ingots)
- 2 Advanced Circuits (8 Redstone, 4 Lapis Lazuli, 4 Glowstone Dust, 2 Electronic circuits)
- 2 Machine Blocks (16 Refined Iron)
- 2 Glowstone Dust
- 2 Rubber Boots (12 Rubber, 2 Wool)
- 1 Reinforced Glass (7 Glass, 2 Advanced Alloy Plates)
- 4 Lapotron Crystals (8 Electronic circuits, 4 Energy Crystal, 24 Lapis Lazuli)
