The State of the Wiki.
This blog will be controversial, and someone is NOT going to be happy by the time it's over. But I'm going to write it anyway.
This wiki obviously has more going on than meets the eye. My first point is that I've noticed the small, tense fight between the administrators on the message walls. Rogue is constantly opposed, and I don't think it's fair. He's been doing his best, and he has many more edits than everyone else. Cacher seems to act like an administrator, but he doesn't have any kind of staff right. He made welcome messages to an anonymous IP, he uses his bot to seem more important....

Introducing Pages on ALL Vanilla Items.
Here are several reasoned arguments behind my suggestion of allowing/adding all Vanilla items, and their vanilla aspects not just their links to Tekkit.
- A person who looks at the Tekkit wiki to look up an item may have severe difficultly finding a page on an item in Tekkit as it's a part of Vanilla Minecraft that they may not have known about before hand.
- Vanilla minecraft could be considered a mod (well the base mod, but still) and should therefore be included in this page
- It can be annoying to flick between a Vanilla minecraft wiki and this whilst playing Tekkit.
- Many vanilla items are used in a different manner in Tekkit as opposed to Vanilla Minecraft. Such as Fully-Automating farms that didn't used to have the possibility of.

Six Weeks Later
Six weeks ago I wrote my first blog post about why I joined this wiki and what I hoped for this community. Today I write my second (and probably last) blog post to reflect on what's happened since then and look to the future.
When I started editing six weeks ago it was out of sheer gratitude for this wiki having been so vital to my understanding and enjoyment of Tekkit. The wiki was in a bad place, it had been neglected for many months, and it was recently adopted by a new group of admins who had just gotten it back on track and given it direction. I'm glad I came in shortly after they did, as they were able to do the heavy lifting and I could follow their lead (I'm not a leader, more of a follower).

When i watch videos on tekkit stuff i always see people have those diamond triagle markers that you can name with diff colors. I tryed figuring out how but since i dont know what it is called not really easy.

Tutorials 1: Your First Machine
So, you finally are ready to make a machine! Before you make one, however, you need a setup and a power source. The easiest power is to make a generator. However, this can quickly consume your coal/wood. When you have the resources, quickly upgrade to a solar panel and batbox, as this will make power from the sun and store it for nighttime usage. Next, your best bet is to make a Macerator. When using a Macerator, any ore placed in the top will be turned into 2 dust. Upon smelting, each dust makes 1 ingot, doubling total output of ores. Once you have done this, it should be easier to get your resources needed. A step-by-step setup:
1. Find redstone, tin, iron, coal, and copper underground.

Planning a Bunker
What do you need most on a Tekkit Faction Server? You guessed it: Nuclear Proof Bunkers.
I´m currently in the planning phase while 2 quarries excavate the 62x62 area needed. The Bunker has 11 Levels, ranging from bedrock to layer 64, with all around 5 layers of reinforced stone for complete protection against nuclear meltdowns (thanks to faction scripts we´ll claim land in and around the bunker so you cannot place nuclear reactors right into the wall) (normal nukes are banned, so are most OP things like RM Armor and Weapons similar stuff). The Power Grid will be kept up by a Mark II Nuclear Reactor (with 5-7 layers reinforced stone as a blast shield) and a Condenser fueled array of Coal Generators providing 120EU/t each. Automate Everything: generic crafting
Allo, folks. I've decided that if I can't get over my tekkit addiction, then I should try to channel it slightly toward a useful direction, thus I'm going to try to write a series of blog posts about techniques I use to automate crafting & etc in my tekkit world.
First, some rules / guiding principles:
- If it feels like cheating, don't use it. At the present, that means no Energy Collectors. I think Oil Fabricators might fall into this category too, or at least in a configuration where the effective power flow loops back on itself and gives you infinite energy.
- As much as possible, and not too much effort, don't overcraft. That is, if you already have an Automatic Crafting Table MkII sitting around unused, don't craft another.

Tekkit server
My tekkit server is up and running, so far no problems, except people can't craft arboretums... Planning to get a cheap server housing for my 32 Gigs of RAM 3,3 Ghz beast. Server is running non-stop for a month now.

Screenshot Fixing
We have a bit of a problem on the wiki at the moment. There are a lot of screenshots that are not in the default texture pack! This (apart from looking very unprofessional) has lead to a lot of confusion, particularly amongst people new to Tekkit.
- All screenshots must be made with a vanilla tekkit install (no custom texture packs, mods or custom skins).
- No nighttime pictures.
- Fancy graphics, smooth lighting on, the GUI removed (via F1) and first person only.
- No screenshots with other players in the shot.
Exceptions will be made for screenshots specifically demonstrating the feature or characteristic.

So I came up with this system of currency, and so far, it seems to be the most functional system I've seen yet.
However, it has an issue.
the step up from coal chunk to UU-matter is fine, but the step from UU-matter to iridium ore is not good.
The system requires 8 UU to trade for an iridium ore, but players can craft iridium with 7 UU.
This is bad, since this breaks the system relatively high up. If it were lower down, below the diamond threshhold(coal chunk), this wouldn't be a big deal.
I would love to share a few standards for currency. I use these to dictate which items get used.

Nuclear Storage Facility.
Hey Guys Xasparaz here! I'm doing a project but I've rna into a bit of trouble. is there a way I can set up a system for deployers to only recive one item so I could hve the itmes contiue down the chain? I have a msss room but all the items goto the first one and just sit there. I'm making a prototype for a nuclear waste stoarge facility and I felt like doing it on tekkit.SInce tekit has all the gadgets I need. I am quite a long time player of tekkit and at first I used the entire pack to its full, but it didn't take me long to realise that Equivelent Exchange was taking away a big core part of Minecraft for me. Now at the end of the day its all about personal preference and most people will play differently than I do but I just wanted to hear other views on the subject. But, as far as I am concerned if somthing will let you, within 2 hours of solo game play (this is tested) create a "machine" (collecters & condensor) that means you don't have to go and collect ANYTHING there isn't much point in playing survival and you may as well be in creative.

We also need to remove extraneous categories. "Other" mods shouldn't be a category. If it is, it should only be used to categorized categories under said heading, such as Computer Craft, but not the pages that belong to the computer craft category. …
